Gunnersbury Catholic School, June 2025

A continuation of the school partnership established in 2024 between Gunnersbury Catholic School and College Marcel Gambier, Lisieux. Gunnersbury’s 2025 tour followed a similar structure to the previous year, with accommodation this time at Maison Saint Georges. The first day of the tour was spent with the French students in Lisieux, both at the college and also visiting the Basilica Saint-Therese de Lisieux and the Merimee Chocolaterie. The following day had visits to Arromanches 360, the Bayeux Tapestry, then a restaurant dinner in central Lisieux to complete the tour.

Thank you Chris for another fantastic week in Normandy! Working with French Horizons is always a pleasure and very straightforward. Nothing is too much trouble and the programme of visits, including a day in a local school, is very flexible and just what we are looking for with our Year 8 pupils. The accommodation is by far the best we have come across on any school trip. Can’t wait to come again next year. Merci infiniment !
